Mike Romano learned to cut hair from his grandfather in a small barbershop tucked in the back of a South Side neighborhood. That early foundation — patience, attention to detail, and genuine care for the client — became the soul of Mike's Barbershop.
In 2010, after years working under top stylists across the city, Mike opened his own shop on Main Street with one chair, one vision, and an uncompromising commitment to craft.
Fourteen years later, Mike's Barbershop has grown into a team of four master barbers serving hundreds of clients a month. The shop has evolved, but the philosophy hasn't: every client gets the same respect, attention, and skill — whether it's their first visit or their five hundredth.
